Surfer Party Ideas - Great Party Dude

I recently went to a surfer themed party for a 4 yr old.

Surfer Party Decorations
The back yard was decorated like an island. They had inflatable coolers shaped like palm trees, cups shaped shaped like coconuts, and leis for each child when they arrived.The party table was a surfboard.

Surfer Party Invititions
The invitations that were mailed out were shaped like mini surfboards and asked each child to dress for the beach to catch a "gnarly birthday wave."

Surfer Party Food
The surfer theme continued with the food. The hot dogs were cut lengthwise and placed on blue plates with Goldfish crackers scattered around the plate.

hey also served mini burgers on replica mini surfboards. The punch mix was a oceanic shade of blue and had fish shaped ice cubes floating inside.

Party Games
The games played were "Pin the Surfer on the Board" where the kids had to try to pin the surfer directly on the surf board.

Another game played was "Catch the Wave" where an oblong balloon was filled with water and sand then tossed around until it burst.

The best game, I think, was "Surfer Dude" where each child got to stand on a surf board try to walk the length of the board blindfolded while being sprayed gently with a hose.

Overall, it was a very entertaining party. The kids had a blast and went home with a bag of goodies.
