Star Wars Birthday Party

For my son's 4th birthday, we threw a Star Wars Birthday party.
First, we started by printing out some Star Wars coloring sheets online. We also made our own lightsabers. I went to the craft store and bought cylindrical foam pieces (instead of buying these from a craft store, you could use a pool noodle and cut it up into smaller pieces). We taped the bottom of each foam piece with silver duct tape. We then used craft glue to decorate the light sabers with glitter and other Star Wars decorations.
We also had Star Wars stickers and markers to finish decorating the lightsabers.
Next, we gave each child a Star Wars tattoo. We also purchased paper Darth Vader, Yoda, and R2D2 masks. Then we allowed the kids to have a battle with their masks on and with their lightsabers.
For the cake, I had a hard time finding a Star Wars cake, so with the help of a local bakery I created my own. I ordered a 1/4 sheet cake decorated as a galaxy, far, far away. Then I added some Star Wars figurines that I bought at Target to create a little battle on top of the cake.
Last but not least, we played some Star Wars music in the background throughout the party to really set the mood.
