Preschoolers Birthday Party at a Bowling Alley
by Susanna
Recently my preschoolers attended a birthday party that was at a bowling alley.
While this seems like a great idea for children you should always take into consideration the age of the children that are attending the party. As you can imagine the younger children did not enjoy the bowling at all. Thank goodness there were other options available. Along with the bowling the children had the opportunity to play laser tag, the boys really enjoyed the game as well as the dads. However the girls were reluctant to participate.
Again it is very important to know the age of your guest and to plan age appropiate activities for the guest.
For food the host supplied Pizza and Chicken Nuggets, as well as cake, Ice cream and cup cakes. All of the kids really enjoyed the food and seemed to love the cake. The cake itself was decorated with a Spider Man theme, it was a very elaborate cake.
For decorations the host brought along balloons, the party place supplied the paper supplies, cups napkins etc. As far as decorations go it was minimal, however considering the location it was not necessary to fully decorate for the party.
I think the key to this party, or the thing that I learned the most was that you should always consider the age of your guest and plan age appropriate activities. In addition the timing of the party was not ideal, as it start at 7:00 at night. Most young children have a seven or eight o'clock bedtime.
