The preschool ideas and activities for kids like the ones mentioned below are fun ways of encouraging creativity in little kids. Coloring doesn't need to end after your child is done with coloring pages.

Here are some fun preschool ideas and creativite activities which you can do with them while they are working on their coloring pages -

Fun Preschool Activities

  • Create a Collage
  • Create a collage by using a pair of blunt scissors to cut out the shapes they have colored and arrange them on a sheet of construction paper.

Use Elmer's glue to attach their colored pieces. Once the collage has dried, your child can decorate the rest of the paper with markers, crayons, or paint.

For example, if your child has made an animal collage, you might encourage him or her to draw a "habitat" for the animals.

  • Have Fun with Textures
  • Teach your child about texture by providing scraps of a variety of materials, such as fake fur, lace, leather, and terry cloth, as well as outdoor materials such as bits of bark, leaves, beach sand, and small pieces of gravel.

Explain the different words that describe how these textures feel, such as rough, smooth, bumpy, and soft. Have your child cut out or select pieces of the materials and glue them to parts of their coloring page where they feel they ought to go.

  • Create The Art
  • Provide your child with additional art materials to decorate their coloring page. For instance, show your child how to crumple up small pieces of colored tissue paper and glue them onto their coloring page.

You can also provide small amounts of glitter, beads, and sequins if your child is old enough to know not to put them in their mouth.

Another idea would be to show your child how to bend pipe cleaners so they match the outline of the shapes they have colored. They can then glue the bent pipe cleaner onto their page.

  • Visit The Museum
  • Instead of putting up all of your child's creations on the wall or refrigerator, play a game where your child pretends he or she is a museum director who gets to hang their favorite pictures on the wall.

Lay out all of your child's pictures and encourage him or her to choose several and explain why they chose them. Great ways of encouraging kids.
