My daughter was invited to a little friends 4th birthday party. It was a pirate theme.
When the kids all arrived, the birthday boy had on his pirate costume. The kids were at first just playing together nothing particular. Once everyone had arrived the kids all sat down to make some crafts.
First they made pirate maps. They took felt pieces and used glue and paints. After they had decorated them, they glued them onto a stick. They also made treasure chests. They were craft store boxes that the kids glued felt into the bottom, then painted and added jewels to.
After crafts it was time to play again. The kids bounced on a trampoline and played on the swing set. Some kids played at the tress trying to climb them.
Next came a pinata that was shaped as a pirate ship. Of course the little ones could not get it broken open, so it took close to 30 minutes.
After the pinata was cake and ice cream. The cake was in a ship shape with gold coins along the sides.
After that was presents. While the kids all sat around watching the boy open his presents the parents got the side room ready for a pirate ballon fight. After presents, the kids filed into the other room and divided into 2 groups. They were warring ships. They threw ballons at eat other and who ever hit to most kids won. Of course they both got a prize for it, and then had the fun of sitting and poppig all the balloons.
At the end of the party all the kids received gift bags filled with pirate treasure, gold coins, bubbles and telescopes.
