Mad Scientist Party

by Beth
(Seattle, WA)

My three year old son recently attended our neighbors sons fourth birthday party.

Quite honestly, this was a fun party for adults too. It was a "mad scientist" themed party.

The kids all decorated white t-shirts to look like lab coats and the hostess provided funny little glasses to wear.

The kids made dry liquid using corn starch and water, they made towers out of toothpicks, slime out of glue, water and food coloring, the hostess made a huge volcano out of baking soda and vinegar, the kids made static with balloons and their own hair, and they even watched an egg get sucked into a bottle without breaking! I don't know how it worked but it involved hot water - so adult supervision required!

They were given loot bags with all kinds of little knick knacks like a little magnifying glass, magnet toys (not good for the under three crowd), bug catchers, etc.
