When the whether is nice and you have little ones around the house, you want some kids outdoor activities which they can enjoy. They love to be outside, playing in the sunshine and you know that this is good for them as long as they have appropriate amounts of sunscreen and hats are on.

• Gardening and Watering Plants

As simple as this outdoor activity for kids looks, it is one that can get kids quite eager and ready to help.

Ask your preschooler's help with some gardening, and you are sure to find a helping hand. Let them have a go with their garden or even beach toys in digging, planting and watering plants.



• Side walk Chalk

Side walk chalk has been a great invention for busying preschoolers outside.

If you have a cement patio they can draw all over it without you having to worry about any permanent damage. You will simply be able to wash it away later.

The side walk chalk can also be used to create a game of Hopscotch on the cement side walk.

• Get Messy in Mud

Getting a bit messy is another kids outdoor activities that your little one is going to enjoy.

If there recently has been a rain, there is sure to be mud close by. This mud can be a wonderful tool when coupled with a stick to use as a paintbrush. Otherwise you can even let your little artist use a a real paintbrush. The child can either get out a real piece of paper to be the canvas for their artwork in mud, or they can simply draw on the cement ground.

Again, this may require your child getting a little bit muddy, but dirt is easily washed away in the bathtub as well as from the garden hose when cleaning off the little Rembrandt’s works of art.

• Have a Treasure Hunt

A simple treasure hunt can be a wonderful opportunity from the list of kids outdoor activities.

This will take a little time to set up before the kids are ready for the game, but it can keep them occupied while being a fun children outdoor game.

Take some random things from your home such as paper pads, Frisbees, hats, and any other small item that you can think of and hide them around the yard, you can set the children into teams and have them search for those simple items. This is a game that is quite enjoyable to the children.

• Water Balloons are Fun

Another kids outdoor activities can water balloon games. Get a bag of water balloon and since these are preschoolers you’ll want to only fill the balloons about half way, they can toss the balloons at one another to get each other wet or play any of these fun water games with balloons.
• Sprinklers and Slides

Kids can play in a sprinkler that is designed for them such as a Sesame Street character or beach ball that sprinkles with the sole purpose of kids getting wet.

There are also Slip n’ Slides and other similar products that the kids will have fun sliding and getting wet.

• Tug of War

A tug of war with a long rope is a drier of kids outdoor activity to do and enjoy.

If you group several of them or even one on one on either end of the rope and set a center line for one child to tug the rope over, they will enjoy pulling at one another until one wins over the other or one team wins over the other.
