Jurassic Park Party

We had the kids make Paper Mache hats to look like dinosaur heads with their families, then the day of the party we had them bring them, we also had extra incase they forgot or didn’t have time.
We decorated the windows with a large cutout of a dinosaur heads made out of huge black yard sacks and taped them on the outside of the window so it looked like the shadow of the dinosaur’s head peering in the window. We made the pattern from a picture we found on the internet and drew the outline on the bags then cut them out, the kids love them, and they thought they looked so real.
We also cut out dinosaur prints of various sizes and put them all over.
To make the room look like a jungle we hung green crepe paper from the top of the door opening so they would have to part their way into the room. Green butcher paper for the walls and a big sign that said, “Caution Dinosaur’s inside.”
We had the kids make up dinosaur skits that they wanted to act out. They were awesome; they drew a volcano on a big piece of cardboard and used crumpled colored paper throwing it as if it was lava spewing out of the volcano. And with their costumes they made they acted out their play of dinosaurs running away from a volcano trying to save their eggs.
We had several pictures of various types of dinosaurs throughout the room with information about what they ate so those that were food (the children pretended to be different dinosaurs) for predators would try to stay away from the predators.
