Halloween Party For Young Children
by Reene
Planning and having a Halloween party for young children can be very fun. We just went to a party recently where each child had to come in a costume.
Most of the boys seemed to come as action heroes. I think Spiderman was the most popular Almost all of the girls but one came as a princess.
My son’s most favorite game played at the party was a game where a piece of bubble gum was hidden on a small plate that was then covered with whipped cream. The first child to find the piece of gum won the prize. Even though he wasn’t the first to find the gum, he still enjoyed the game and chewing the gum.
Another fun game was trying to figure out what was in several brown bags. Each one had different things in it. For example, one had cold cooked spaghetti, another had grapes. Each was supposed to be something scary for Halloween like the grapes were eye balls and the spaghetti was brains.
They did have a cake where they had a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting with crumbled Oreos on top, and then they used candy gummy worms on top. This was a hit especially with the young boys.
They also handed out bags of candy when the kids left the party. That was a great party favor.
