Fun Pokemon Birthday

My pre-schooler loves Pokemon, so for his 5th birthday party we decided to go with a Pokemon theme.
We made pokeball invitations using red, white and black card stock. On the back, we wrote all the party details. When the kids arrives, they all received a necklace made out of yarn with a blank
index card attached to it (we used a hole punch).
The kids then proceeded to the back yard where we played a pokemon game. We had already hidden pokemon stickers in various places in the yard. The kids were given clues and had to find the stickers. When they found a sticker, they put it on their index card. This was their "pokemon badge." They had a great time with this game!
Next was the pokemon balloon pop. We had blown up tons of balloons. One had a special pokemon surprise in it (a small pokemon figure). The balloons were all over the floor of our living room, and the kids had to stomp the balloons to find the surprise.
We then had lunch- Pokemon pizza. Afterwards, the kids had a "Squirtle" contest where they used waterguns to see who could squirt the farthest. The cupcakes were decorated to look like pokeballs. Each child received a goodie bag with pokemon cards, a pokemon figure, pokemon lollipops, and a small pokeball. It was his best party yet!
