But creating an area for messy games is just the beginning. While your preschooler is imaginative and eager to get their hands dirty, structured activities involving water and sand can be fun and educational. Here are some fun childrens outdoor games, which are both educational and enjoyable.

  • Build a Sand Castle

  • As simple as this activity sounds, its one of the best activities you can do with your preschooler. You can use any shapes you want to create a sand castle, and it can be an great educational activity to teach some shapes to your little one.

Begin by creating an area outside that's large enough for you and your preschooler to work comfortably. Next, mix a little water at a time to the sand until the sand is moist enough to hold. Allow your preschooler to help by folding the sand and squishing it with their hands.

While the sand castle will be much smaller than one you would build on a real beach, your preschooler will still have fun decorating it with household items such as ribbon, colorful pieces of paper, and other safe objects you can find around your house.

  • Create Your Own Figures

  • Another fun childrens outdoor games to get messy can be an activity using plastic cookie cutters to create unique shapes in the sand. Help your preschooler by placing the cookie cutter on a flat surface and help them fill it with sand. Carefully remove the cookie cutter and make different shapes. decorate your creations with flowers, blades of grass or household items.

  • Will it Float Or Sink?

  • Here is an educational messy game for kid. Collect various objects of different weights from around the house, safe enough to go in water. Before putting each object in the water, ask your preschooler to guess whether it will float or sink. A fun science experiment to get kids started on some preschool science.

Sand and water can be great outdoor games for kids to encourage outdoor play and also help stimulate a preschoolers imagination. And you get ready to answer some questions coming your way.
