• Traffic Lights

You need - Red, Yellow and Green colour cardboard cut in a round shape, Music.

Result - Lots of Vrooming and Fun

This is such a Fun game, young drivers can't have enough of it when they start driving around the room.

Take 3 white cardboard circles and colour them Red, Orange and Green or use construction paper instead and stick it on the cardboard (you can use cardboard from old appliance box cut in a round shape) Stick a Ruler behind each card.

Play some music in the background and ask the kids to do some "driving"in the room.They can pretend to be driving Cars, Trucks, Jeeps, Vans...whichever vehicle they would like to drive.

After every few minutes, hold up one coloured cardboard and give instructions to kids to follow -

• "Red Light - Stop"

• "Orange Light - Slow Down, everybody slow down"

• "Green Light - Go Go Go"

Pair up the kids and let each pair have a go.The first pair begins the game by standing close to one another and passing the balloon.

Good to have each layer made up of different design of wrapping paper. inwards, forming a circle. Play the Music. The children sit in a circle and the parcel is passed from one to another till the music plays.

Whoever is holding the parcel when the music stops removes one layer of the wrapping paper and claims the gift in that layer. Continue the game till all the participants have received a gift.

You Need: Huge bag of play balls or lots of small balloons for this childrens party games.

Depending on the number of kids divide them into a team of 2 or 3 children each. Assign each team a colour.

Get a cheap bag of 150 balls, you normally get in supermarkets. Scatter these in the garden. Give each team a bucket to collect the balls. Set a timer and ask the Kids have to get the balls of the colour assigned to them.Whichever team collects the most number of balls in the set time wins.

No hard and fast rule of who wins or loses to avoid upset.They can all receive some stickers at the end of the game.

You can use lots of small balloons instead of balls in this childrens party games.

• Duck, Duck....Goose

This childrens party games is for older preschoolers. Ask the children sit in a Circle, facing inwards. One of them is assigned to be a Fox.

The fox walks around the circle tapping each childs head and calling him or her a duck, until finally the fox taps the head of one of the kid in the circle and calls him a Goose.

The goose then has to get up and chase the fox and try and tag the fox. If the Goose is able to tag the fox, the kid who is the Goose sits down in the circle again otherwise the fox sits down in the circle and the other child becomes the Fox.
