Children Party Games - My Little Pony Party
This game is very similar to "duck, duck, goose." To play this game, have everyone sit in a large circle, and choose one child to be "it." The child who is "it" walks around the circle and taps each person on the head and says, "horse." When they tap someone on the head and say "pony," they start to run around the circle and the "pony" has to chase them to try to tag them. If they tag them, the person who was "it" has to sit in the "cookie jar" - the middle of the circle, and the person who was the pony is now "it." If the first person who was "it" makes it back to the "pony's" spot before being tagged. she can stay in that spot and the "pony" still gets to be "it."
This is one of those fun children birthday games that is best played in a large outdoor space, such as a park or a big backyard. This one is definitely for the older preschoolers. For this game, you will need two very long ropes, with one rope approximately 20 to 25 feet longer than the other, two hobby horses, and two 12 inch dowel rods, which you can decorate with colored ribbons and mylar streamers. You can also decorate the hobby horses with ribbons, streamers, colored yarn, and fluffy feathers to make it look more like a little pony character. To set up for the game, take the shorter rope and lay it on the ground so the ends are touching and it makes a circle. Do the same thing with the longer rope so it surrounds the first rope. This is your "racetrack." To play the game, divide the group into two equal teams, line up each team in a single file line in front of the "racetrack," and give the first person in line a hobby horse and a dowel rod. When you say "go!" the first person in each line is to run around the racetrack in opposite directions with the hobby horse between their legs as if they were riding a real horse while carrying the dowel rod. When they get back to their original spot, they are to give the hobby horse and dowel rod to the next person in line, who runs around the racetrack. The first team whose team members all run around the racetrack once wins!

For this game, you will need My Little Pony stickers of all of the My Little Pony characters. Divide up the guests into pairs, and one group of three if you have an odd number. Place a different My Little Pony sticker on the back of each guest. Have your guests look at the ponies on each other's backs without saying which one they have. Each child is to try to guess which pony is on her back by asking her partner "yes" or "no" questions such as, "Do I have wings?" "Do I dance?" "Am I blue?" "Is my mane pink?" As each pair correctly guesses their ponies, they win a prize.
Pinata is one of a very popular children party games. Because the children might find hitting a My Little Pony pinata with a stick upsetting, a My Little Pony pull pinata is a nice option, and can be easily found online. Instead of hitting the pinata to break it and release the candy, the pull pinata is hung from a tree or the ceiling, and has approximately 20 to 30 ribbons hanging down from it's "body." To release the candy and prizes, all of the children grab a ribbon and pull at the same time. These pull pinatas are sold empty, so you will need to buy the candy and prizes separately.

Playing horseshoe is a fun, enjoyable outdoor game for both children and adults. For a horseshoe game suitable for children, you need to buy a set of colorful plastic horseshoes instead of real horseshoes. If you can, try to find horseshoes that match the color scheme of your decorations. Place a stake in the ground, and draw or create a line with string or twine about three feet away. Have the children stand behind the line, and assign them an order by giving them each a number. Each child will get all of the horseshoes so they can try to throw them over the stake, one at a time. Make sure every child gets at least one turn, but this game can be played as long as it holds the children's interest.
Have a little calming down session after all the excitement and fun of your little ones My little Pony birthday with a little coloring activity for kids. You will need some markers and print out of some free My little Pony coloring pages available on the internet. And the kids can take their My Little Pony pictures home along with their party favours.
