Birthday parties for preschoolers

Birthday parties for preschoolers can be so fun and easy. But, they can also be really tough to plan because you need to keep the little ones busy and happy.
This age group has a very short attention span so the games and activities need to be easy to learn and fun. One of the best birthday parties we have attended was at a movie theater.
The family rented out one of the party rooms at the theater and had it completely decorated with balloons and streamers. There were bowls of candy set out for the kids to munch on.
They also had pizza delivered for lunch. The games were fun and included pin the tail, bean bag toss and even an arts and crafts area. Each child got to decorate their very own birthday hat.
The birthday kid got a special hat while the other kids all got the same style hat but they each got to decorate it as they wished. Once all the food and games were done, the kids watched a short cartoon movie.
It is key to choose a short movie because that age group cannot sit for very long, especially after eating sweets and sugar! The family skipped the cake and instead had a do it yourself ice cream sundae bar after the movie
