Backyard Cookout Birthday Party

The last birthday party I attended with my 4 year old as a blast! It was a backyard cookout that was fun for the entire family. When we arrived, the aroma of burgers and hot dogs on the grill was very inviting.
We entered the backyard to find a wonderland of children?s activities. There was a bubble station where each child could select a bubble want and join in the bubble blowing fun.
There was a medium sized bounce house that even the younger children were able to enjoy. It wasn?t as intimidating as some of the larger ones.
There was sidewalk chalk by the fence, and the children were encouraged to get creative while adding their portion of the birthday mural.
The hosts had thoughtfully set up tables and chairs under a canopy for those of us who didn?t want to bake in the summer heat.
After partaking of delicious bar-b-q, they brought out the cake, lit the candles and we sang Happy Birthday. Before tearing into his gifts, the birthday boy passed out party favors to each of the guests.
This significantly decreased the number of children getting upset because they didn?t have presents to open. All in all it was a great age appropriate party. My children had tons of fun.
